If you are in a relationship and you self-harm and have severe depression, is that a good enough reason for someone to leave you? In my experience, no guy wants to be with a depressed girl.

Well they should try and help you through it in my opinion.

I agree they should try and help you through it. If the person were to leave a self-harming individual, that obviously is bad and will only encourage future or more severe self-harm.
I am a guy, and enjoyed being with a depressed girl, because she could relate to some of my spiraling downward thoughts. I was also able to help her with her depression. |

Well, it just depends really I guess if you love eachother enough the partner should support you & help you through what they can, but I guess it also depends on how much the other person can take, it may also be very hard on them but really I think they should stay with you and support you and get through all your problems because it'll make your relationship alot stronger, i'd say.

All of my girlfriends were depressed girls. I really don't know how could it happened but it's true. And they always got me into depression, while I tried to help them. It wasn't good for me. Once I even thought of killing myself. But God saved me.

Hi I know how you feel, I have been married 27 years and my husband does not understand what im going through, in fact in recent months I have self harmed because of him. he doesnt want depression in his stress free life. I am trying to get out of the marriage but am scared that the stress will push me over the edge. I get alot of mental abuse from him.

as weird as it sounds, i'd love to date a depressed girl,
but I can see their point of view, I mean its like a burden, not only do they have to worry about their problems, but yours too... but take my words on relationships very lightly, as I've never been in one ![]() good luck |
